The new Penny Café opened at the Yeats Building on June 13th, Yeats Day. It will start as a hatch, serving Carrow Coffee, roasted in Sligo at Beltra, Skelligs hot chocolate, Barry’s Tea, savoury snacks, scones and cakes, all freshly baked using Irish and locally-sourced ingredients.
Customers will be able to enjoy their takeaway in the lovely open space at the back of the building, overlooking the river and safely socially distancing. Penny Café will open Wednesday-Saturday; 10-3pm. No pre-ordering necessary and there is room to queue, safely and socially distanced. Seating at the back of the building is available.
The cafe will be managed by Roberta Murray and Orla Meagher, as part of Yeats Society Sligo.
