Belfast-born poet Gerald Dawe has published over twenty books of poetry and prose since his first collection, Sheltering Places, was published in 1978.

He taught for many years in NUI Galway before moving to Trinity College Dublin in 1988 where he was professor of English and Fellow under retirement in 2017.

He will be reading from The Last Peacock, a new poetry collection, to be published later this year and The Wrong Country: Essays which appeared last year.
