In 2018, the Yeats International Summer School will take place in Sligo between 19th - 27th. Full programme of events can be reviewed here.


Directors Professor Matthew Campbell and Dr Lauren Arrington will present an intriguing programme around the theme of The Greening of Yeats with a range of international speakers. The co-directors will follow in the fine Summer School tradition of offering a unique learning experience through the sharing of ideas and opinions, during both the formal and informal events of the programme.

The poetry workshop on Sunday July 22nd will be facilitated by Leontia Flynn. Mike McCormack will speak about writing and the inspiration for his award winning The Solar Bones.


Tuition and some cultural events €650. Poetry Workshop €115. Low cost accommodation can be booked through the Yeats Society.

A number of scholarships for tuition are available. Application deadline is April 27th 2018 at 17:00.
